Sapphire is an incredibly valuable and precious gemstone in the Corundum family that is renowned for its lustre, durability, and colour variations. Sapphire has a mineral hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, and Sapphire can come in every colour except red; a deep red colouring actually makes it a Ruby!

These Sapphire pieces in matrix come from a recently discovered claim in Revelstoke British Columbia, Canada. These amazing pieces were hand picked by the Silver Cove team in August 2019. The sapphire itself is amazing and there is quiet a few pieces in each specimen. The matrix consists of feldspar and mica. These sapphires are featured in Rock & Gem magazine in their September 2019 issue.
